After having lunch at Clarks we headed back to the hotel and just relaxed on the bed for a while. At like 6 in the evening we went out again. (Check the previous post here)
So basically mall road is pretty long. After like 1 km or so, it diverges. Right one goes towards the edge of the hill and gives a great view of valleys. The left goes into Tibetan market filled with small stalls with clothing items.
First we went to the lane on right side. It doesn’t have much stuff but only a beautiful view of valleys.
This is the street.
After a few metres, this lane merges with the left lane. That point is the main mall road, i.e the city centre. From there we decided to go to the tibetan market lane and we came across some really nice and beautiful clothing and decorative item shops. The sun had set by now and it was kinda cool over there as compared to afternoons which were quiet warm.
We came across many food stalls selling some delicious snack items like maggi, sandwiches, samosa, jalebi, etc.
There were also a bunch of shops selling antiquities and wooden products, like cutlery and wall clocks.
The sun had set by now and it was really dark so we decided to go back to our hotel and have dinner. On the way back we saw this beautiful laser fountain show with traditional Indian music being played in the back drop. Here’s a pic, I wish if I could upload the video too.
Also a special mention about these beautiful and cute mountain breed of stray dogs. They are just so adorable and even posed for a photograph.
Well that’s all for today. Stay tuned for my next post featuring my last day at this beautiful place.
