Daily Prompts, Poem

The Covert Kill #2

“She watched her in pain

waiting for the process to complete

Four tiny fawns

emerged out of her

The night went by

She was still there

on stand by

watching her every move

On dawn she made her move

The four fawns were orphaned

before they even saw who their mother was

She did not have any qualm

until her cubs were calm”
