Photo Challenge – Friend

I guess when I saw this week’s photo challenge I just knew what I had to post. I’m a very socially awkward person not because I’m shy or anti-social but because I just want the first impression to be so perfect that I often overdo it and goof it up and make a mess of myself such that I am embarrassed to go/meet them next time.

So when I finally got fed up of humans I turned to man’s best friend. Dogs. What do you believe me if I say I have 6 dogs? And almost every dog in my locality is my friend because I just can’t resist myself from petting them. I have one pet labrador named Noddy and 6 stray dogs that live in my garden outside my house, their names are, I’m sure you’ll laugh, its Dolce, Gabbana, Ginni, Jimmy, Lily and Rosie (Later 3 being puppies as of now). There are 2 more both named Julie, but they don’t really live in the garden coz the other six scare them off. Then I have 4 dogs in my grandmothers place plus one more that lives outside. So I guess I have a lot of dogs.

That’s my baby – Noddy. he’s 8 years old, turning 9 this july.

These are the three puppies. Brown one being Rosie, on her left is lily and hiding behind them is Jimmy.

Here’s a poem I wrote reflecting upon the day I got Noddy.

“A decade old boy

Playing by himself with his toy

The doorbell rang

And the nightingale sang

Red canine flowers bloomed

Darkness was yet again doomed

Leaves were greener than ever

Dust on them was fewer

The tea was tastier than before

The birds sounded even more allure

It was a new gift

Loneliness went adrift

White as snow white

That shines bright in the moonlight 

It was my four legged friend

My companion till the very end.”
